Why these four

All four belong to the same family: they are fast versions, that is, photoperiod feminized strains that go into flowering when the light cycle changes, just like a conventional feminized one, but which carry a contribution of ruderalis in their ancestry. That contribution is backcrossed towards the photoperiod line, so the trait that shortens flowering is kept without the plant becoming autoflowering. They do not flower by age, as the autos do.

The criterion that groups them is that they bring together the four fast strains in the catalogue with the most distinct profiles from each other and cover the whole range of cycles in the family, from the 40–49 days of White Widow Fast to the 53–57 of AK74 Fast. Two are European classics —AK-74 and White Widow—, one is almost pure indica and the fourth, Patagonia Fast, is a selection of the bank’s own.

It is the only one in the pack whose profile starts from fruit and not from earth: the base is clean and fresh, closer to fruit than to heavy sweetness, with a dry layer of spice and wood behind it that gives it body. From the AK-74 line it inherits a compact, branched structure of sturdy stems, which spreads the weight across several thick branches instead of concentrating it in a central cola. It declares 53–57 days of flowering, the longest of the four.

Black Domina Fast

• Genetics: a cross of four indica strains (Black Domina line)
• Genotype: almost pure indica
• Declared THC (catalogue data): 21–26%
• Aroma: intense, earthy, spiced and with notes of hashish

It is the only one in the pack built by bringing several indica lines together rather than crossing two different branches, and its declared genotype reflects that. Its register is the darkest and most closed of the group: with no citrus or fruity component, with turned earth and dry wood over a resinous background that recalls traditional hashish. The structure goes with that genotype, with a contained habit, short internodes and dense, compact flowers, and it declares 45–50 days of flowering.

Patagonia Fast

• Genetics: OG Kush × Northern Lights
• Genotype: 80% indica and 20% sativa
• Declared THC (catalogue data): 15–20%
• Aroma: earthy and sweet, with citrus touches

It is a selection of the bank’s own and the only one in the pack that declares a specific genotype percentage. Its aroma is organised in three layers: an earthy base, the sweetness of the line above it and some citrus touches that lighten the whole. Its structure answers to the declared 80% indica, with a medium-sized plant, very branched and with thick, resinous buds, and it declares around 53 days of flowering.

White Widow Fast

• Genetic background: White Widow (Widow Bilbo × Widow BCN)
• Declared THC (catalogue data): 15–20%
• Aroma: earthy, with notes of pine and a spiced touch

It starts from two Widow lines selected separately within the bank itself. Its profile keeps the backbone of the line but refined into three elements: the earthy as the background, the pine that lifts it and a spiced touch behind. It keeps the resin coating characteristic of the family, a dense, pale layer over the bud and the nearest leaves, and with 40–49 declared days it is the shortest cycle in the pack and in the whole fast collection.

How they compare with each other

In declared THC the pack splits cleanly into two halves. AK74 Fast and Black Domina Fast share the highest range, 21–26%, while Patagonia Fast and White Widow Fast coincide at 15–20%. That is six points of difference between one block and the other, the most marked split of all the Super Mix packs, and there are no intermediate values between the two.

The order of cycles does not match that of the THC. White Widow Fast opens the pack at 40–49 days, followed by the 45–50 of Black Domina Fast, the roughly 53 of Patagonia Fast and the 53–57 of AK74 Fast. That is, the two that declare the most THC are also the longest and the second shortest of the group, so neither of the two figures predicts the other. In genotype the comparison is incomplete: only Patagonia Fast declares a percentage —80% indica and 20% sativa— and Black Domina Fast is described as almost pure indica, while AK74 Fast and White Widow Fast do not declare it on their pages.

In aroma there is more common ground than it seems. Three of the four start from an earthy base —Black Domina Fast, Patagonia Fast and White Widow Fast— and three include a spiced note, with AK74 Fast among them. What separates them is what rests on that base: hashish in Black Domina Fast, sweet and citrus in Patagonia Fast, pine in White Widow Fast. AK74 Fast is the exception of the group, the only one without an earthy background and the only one with a fresh and fruity register in the foreground.

No. The composition of the Super Mix Fast is fixed: AK74 Fast, Black Domina Fast, Patagonia Fast and White Widow Fast, three seeds of each one. If you are looking for a specific strain, each one has its own page and its own formats.

Are they the same seeds as in the individual packs?

Yes. They come from the same selection of our own mother plants kept at our bank in Barcelona as the packs of each strain separately. The only thing that changes is the presentation: here four lines are brought together instead of just one.
