Why these four

All four belong to the USA Strains collection: photoperiod feminized strains built on the trunk lines that define modern American genetics. Two come from the Cookies branch, born on the west coast; Nicole OG Kush belongs to the OG Kush and Kosher Kush world; and Gorilla comes from the Chem trunk, the sharpest and most resinous of the three.

The criterion that groups them is that split by trunk lines, and with it two extremes of aromatic profile. On one side, the pastry sweetness of the Cookies family —American Cookies and Gelato—; on the other, the dry, balsamic registers of Nicole OG Kush, earthy and spiced with pine, and of Gorilla, of pine and citrus. All four declare the highest THC in the catalogue, between 24% and 30%.

It is the only one in the pack that joins the two great Californian branches in a single cross: Cookies brings the sweet register and OG Kush the marked indica dominance its page records, the highest of the four. Its sweetness is of the pastry kind rather than the citrus kind, and it appears clearly against the earthy and resinous background of the Kush branch. It declares around 60 days of indoor flowering.

Gelato

Its two parents belong to the same Cookies trunk, and that explains why the biscuit background comes through so strongly. It is the most broken-down aromatic description in the pack: four nuances layered on top of each other, with the vanilla and the biscuit coming from the Cookies side and the berries and the citrus providing the fresher part. Its genotype is the most balanced of the group and it declares 60–65 days of indoor flowering, the longest cycle of the four.

Gorilla

It is the only one in the pack that comes from the Chem trunk, and its profile is sharp and resinous before it is sweet: a balsamic background of conifer resin with a dry citrus note above it, closer to the peel than to the pulp. Its most characteristic visual trait is the intense resin production its page declares. At 50–60 days of indoor flowering, it is the shortest cycle in the pack.

Nicole OG Kush

Its profile is built on three planes: an earthy base with a background of humus and wood, a discreet sweetness above it and a spiced component with pine that gives it its sharpest edge. It is a Kush register in the strict sense, without the pastry sweetness of the Cookies branch. The page describes it as very rich in resin and terpenes, with bluish and reddish tones during its development, and declares 55–60 days of indoor flowering.

How they compare with each other

In declared THC the pack is very compressed at the top. Gelato, Gorilla and Nicole OG Kush share exactly the same range, 25–30%, the ceiling of the catalogue, and American Cookies stays one point below at 24–29%. There is therefore no real difference between them in this figure: all four sit in the high band and the criterion for choosing is elsewhere.

In genotype they do separate clearly, and the scale runs from the 55% indica shared by Gelato and Gorilla to the 80% of American Cookies, with Nicole OG Kush at 75%. The declared cycles do not follow that order: Gorilla, with the most balanced split, has the shortest indoor flowering at 50–60 days, while Gelato, with the same genotype, has the longest at 60–65 days. In between are the 55–60 days of Nicole OG Kush and the roughly 60 of American Cookies.

Aroma is what really divides the pack, and it does so into two clean blocks. American Cookies and Gelato share a sweet and fruity base, though with a different degree of detail: the first stops there and the second unfolds berries, citrus, vanilla and biscuit. Facing them, Gorilla and Nicole OG Kush coincide in including pine, but by opposite routes: in Gorilla it is accompanied by dry citrus and no sweet note at all, and in Nicole OG Kush it rests on an earthy base with a discreet sweetness and a spiced component. It is the only point of contact between the two blocks.

No. The composition of the Super Mix USA Strains is fixed: American Cookies, Gelato, Gorilla and Nicole OG Kush, three seeds of each one. If you are looking for a specific strain, each one has its own page and its own formats.

Are they the same seeds as in the individual packs?

Yes. They come from the same selection of our own mother plants kept at our bank in Barcelona as the packs of each strain separately. The only thing that changes is the presentation: here four lines are brought together instead of just one.
