Why these four

All four belong to the same family: they are autoflowering feminized strains, that is, strains that carry ruderalis in their cross and whose move from growth to flowering depends on the age of the plant and not on the photoperiod. That is the underlying difference from the photoperiod feminized strains in the catalogue, which change phase when the photoperiod changes.

The criterion that groups them is the contrast of profiles within that family. They cover four aromatic registers that do not overlap —cheese, fruit, sweet and Haze— and four different lineages: Cheese with Critical, OG Kush with Northern Lights, Blueberry and Jack Herer. It is a selection designed to bring the bank’s four autoflowering references together in a single pack.

The lactic note takes the foreground and is the trait that cannot be confused with any other strain in the pack. Behind it come the sweet and fruity nuances its page declares, which soften the whole without displacing the main component. It is also the only one of the four whose declared THC drops below 14%.

Patagonia Auto

It is a selection of the bank’s own and the only one in the pack built on two combined classics, OG Kush and Northern Lights, before adding the ruderalis. Its declared profile is simply fruity: upfront and clean, with no earthy background and none of the spiced edge of the Haze lines. In structure it stands out for tight, resinous buds on a good-sized plant.

Blueberry Auto

Here the sweetness comes first and the fruit note appears behind it, as a nuance and not as the lead. It keeps the indica character of the original line: a compact plant, of contained habit, with very thick buds concentrated rather than spread across many small flowers. Its most characteristic visual trait is the tendency to turn towards bluish tones when it gets low temperatures, something that depends on the environment and on the phenotype.

Jack Herer Auto

• Aroma: unmistakable Haze

It comes from the feminized phenotype of the bank’s own Jack Herer, with very few differences between the two according to its page. The Haze register is spiced, with an incense background, penetrating and persistent, far from both the sweet and fruity lines and the earthy indicas. The sativa component also shows in the plant, with elongated spikes that are somewhat airier than the dense flowers of the rest of the pack.

How they compare with each other

What they share is the base: all four are autoflowering feminized and all four declare Ruderalis within the cross. None of their pages declares an indica or sativa genotype percentage, so the useful comparison between them is made by lineage, by declared THC and by aromatic profile.

In declared THC the spread is narrow and has only two steps. Patagonia Auto, Blueberry Auto and Jack Herer Auto coincide at 14–19%, and Total Cheese Auto is the only one that stays below, at 13–18%: the lowest range in the pack at both its lower and its upper end. On paper, therefore, no strain stands out above the others in this figure.

Where they do separate completely is in the aroma. Total Cheese Auto occupies the lactic register, the most singular of the four. Are they the same seeds as in the individual packs?

Yes. They come from the same selection of our own mother plants kept at our bank in Barcelona as the packs of each strain separately. The only thing that changes is the presentation: here four lines are brought together instead of just one.
