Gorilla starts from the cross between Chem Sis, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel, three lines tied to the Chem trunk, one of the most influential branches of American genetics. That group is associated with a pungent, resinous profile far from the sweetness of the Cookies family, and from the west coast it became the base of many modern hybrids with high resin production.

The result recorded on the data sheet is a hybrid with an almost balanced split, 55% indica and 45% sativa, with an aromatic register of pine and citrus and an intense production of resin. The declared indoor flowering range, 50–60 days, is one of the shortest in the USA Strains collection.

The version of Gorilla described on this page comes from our own mother plants selected and stabilised at the Trikoma Seeds bank in Barcelona. Gorilla’s profile is pungent and resinous rather than sweet. The data sheet sums it up in two notes, pine and citrus, and that combination defines its character well: a balsamic background of conifer resin over which a dry citrus rises, closer to the peel than to the pulp. It is a clean, direct register, without the pastry nuances that characterise the Cookies branch of the catalogue.

About the large formats

Gorilla’s 100 and 1,000 seed packs are of a single strain, with no mixes: all the seeds come from the same selection as the small pack, not from a different batch or an assortment. The only thing that changes is the quantity and the price per seed, which drops from €3.33 in the small format to €2.40 in the 100-seed one and to €1.20 in the 1,000-seed one.
