Parent lines and genetic origin<\/h2>\n

Al Tiro Auto is an in-house selection by Trikoma Seeds, not a version of someone else’s strain. Its name is a nod to the Chilean market: \u00abal tiro\u00bb is the expression used there to say that something is done very quickly. The page declares a cross of Ruderalis \u00d7 Patagonia<\/a> \u00d7 Wendy<\/a>, that is, two lines from our own catalogue combined with a ruderalis line.<\/p>\n

That third leg is what defines the strain. Cannabis ruderalis is the short-cycle subspecies adapted to high latitudes, where the season barely leaves any margin, and it passes on a development that is not governed by the photoperiod. In a photoperiod plant flowering starts when the photoperiod changes; in Al Tiro Auto the shift from growth to flowering depends on the age of the plant.<\/p>\n

The Trikoma version comes from our own mother plants selected and maintained at our bank in Barcelona. The three components of the cross come from our own parent lines: we do not distribute genetic material from third parties, and what this page describes is our selection.<\/p>\n
