In this article we explain what large formats are, how much the price per unit changes and in which cases they are worth it.<\/p>\n<h2>What bulk seeds means<\/h2>\n<p>A bulk pack is a large format of <strong>a single variety<\/strong>, usually 100 or 1,000 units, as opposed to the small pack of 3, 5 or 10 seeds sold to the general public. It is not a different product or an inferior selection: they are the same seeds, without the individual collector&#8217;s packaging.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth distinguishing it from two similar things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mix packs:<\/strong> several different varieties in the same pack. A seed bank that breeds its own genetics works differently:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The seeds come from mother plants selected by the seed bank itself, so the selection is the same across the whole batch.<\/li>\n<li>The exact origin of the cross can be explained, not just the commercial name.<\/li>\n<li>There is continuity: the same variety will still be available next year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Trikoma Seeds has been selecting its own genetics in Barcelona since 2009.
